I appreciate that this topic has been discussed multiple times over the last several years, but here goes again: Does anyone have (or know where I can locate) a higher resolution (or "vectorized" - whatever that means) image of the gold "warrior_circle" logo shown on the wiki logo archive page, http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/nickname/logo_archive (http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/nickname/logo_archive)?
I'm not interested in mass producing and/or selling items displaying the logo. I only want to print it on two t-shirts, one for myself and one for my wife. Can anyone help? Thanks.
I think you could print mass amounts of t-shirts if you wanted too. I believe Marquette let the copyright expire on the logo so I think it's anyone's for the taking.
The logo copyright expired, but aren't the words "Marquette" with the logo are still off limits?

Yes, I beleive that's the key. The logo is ok, if you don't use "Marquette" ;)
Anyhow, here's the best version we've got (I think)...

(note, it's not really vectorized, as JPG isn't a vectorized format - if anybody has, or wants to create a vectorized version, that'd be awesome. For those wondering about vectorization, I'll point you towards wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics)
A replace of "Marquette Warriors" to "Warriors Forever" should do the trick.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say if you only produce one each for you and your wife, even including the word "Marquette", you won't be bothered by MU.
I should add - here's an old discussion of the colors -

Also, chicos, did you ever get to cleaning out your garage? :)
MarqPTM and myself made "Da Kidds" t-shirts during the three amigos freshman year. Marquette was very unhappy with us, but luckily we had MU great Craig Pintens in our corner.
Thanks to all for the responses.
Lighthouse, I'd bet that you're right. And even if the University still asserts copyright protection over the "Marquette Warriors" logos, I think my proposed use would qualify as "fair use."

Very unhappy. We didn't even make a profit, nor were we aiming to.

. Last year, someone on this site sold some Marquette Warriors shirts to Scoopsters. He got shut down but some of us bought them. I'll have my gold shirt on this Saturday at the Seton Hall game. I don't expect anyone to hassle me about it. Would they be able to prove I didn't get it while a student at MU? Maybe. But I really doubt they'd check.
