haha, i swear the announcer on espn keeps saying Dykes instead of well, that crappy player we have on the floor that turns the ball over a lot and takes horrible shots.
One of the announcers also said Joe Crowder early on
The asshat finally got it right at the 4:00 mark but then later on he went back to Dykes.
Dwight Dykes is gonna be Nova's player of the game at this rate
Rosiak said that Kent Sommerfeld told the ESPN announcers it wasn't Dykes at halftime and they lied and told him they were saying Buycks all along.
dykes is the turnover prone alter ego,
buycks doesnt do that.
Maybe he's related to this PeeeƱa guy...
Probably was told by the producer prior to the game that Dwight's name rhymes with dikes and the dude just keeps f'ing it up. Too difficult to keep straight.

Seriously...
NoMoreDykesAlso, at least they didn't say, "Jae Chowder"
Man that guy sucked. Joe Crowder, Jeremy Butler, Chris Otool, and Dwight Dykes. Definitely a candidate for the Dick Stockton excellence in broadcasting award.
Yet somehow he got Cadougan right.

That doesn't even cover the times he thought Nova players were on our team. When Otule picked up his second foul he called him Yarou and he thought one of our guards was Dominic Cheek at some point in the second half. ?-(
I grew up in Detroit when Charlie Neal was a local sports anchor. I was shocked to see that he was still around. Even back then he was famous for butchering names. He was terrible.
Wonder why they keep him on when he hasn't yet gotten close to getting it right?
He does have a really smooth voice. Reminds me of Lou Rawls.
I thought I read somewhere he wasn't the originally scheduled PBP guy. I'm guessing with the weather he was the best available PBP guy for the evening.

Someone actually referenced Lou Rawls? Good for you - raised on his music - seen him twice in concert. Definitely a smooth voice.
