As noted, the basketball writers for FoxNews (25th) and CBS Sports (23rd) believe MU is a top 25 team, and they are part of a minority but growing number of writers who believe the same, giving MU 23 points in today's AP poll.
That is would make them 32nd place - still 10th in the Big East. WVU is one of three MU victims both in the AP top 25 and the RPI top 25.
With MU now 25th in Pomery, 30th in Sagarin and moving up to a #9 seed today in the ESPN bracket and 7th in the Forecast RPI bracked, a pretty substantail number of subjective and objective sources are starting to place MU not only in the bracket, but as a likely 1st round winner (top 32).
Coaches are more skeptical with only 2 points for MU in ESPN poll.
They can make a statement by finding a way to win 2 of these 3 road games.
They would probably be ranked if they won one or two of the games against ranked teams in Duke, Notre Dame at ND, Louisville, Wisconsin or Vanderbilt. Lot of chances in there to win a game especially against ND the second time, the Louisville game and the Vanderbilt game.
