Not sure what happened as I just saw a couple of twitter reports from ESPN and such.
Think MU is on his radar?
I think he picked up a DUI last fall, so maybe this was his second? Sure, let's bring him aboard.

He'll blend in perfectly with the MU undergrads...
Are you sure he's leaving MSU? The ESPN article says that he's been dismissed from the team for the rest of the season, which sounds to me like he'll be back next year? Either way it doesn't look good for him.
Why am I not surprised...?
Add this to the list of the other boneheads from Milwaukee that screwed up their chances of playing college basketball. Johnny Lacey. Monterale Clark. the list goes on.
That seems like a pretty short list.

Yeah, just what we need, a disgruntled PG.
He's a junior now. Not worth two years of scholarship to have him for a year.

If he was a talented big I would definitely think differently.
Or a big-time point guard.
That being said, MU looks to me like they're tending toward the point where a one-dimensional player (shooter) outside of a big-time center or point guard for one year isn't the type of guy they should be looking to get. It's like a baseball team that doesn't have enough pitching or day-to-day hitters worrying about a pinch hitter or left-handed reliever. MU looks like they need upgrades at point guard (hopefully Wilson can contribute from day one) and center, so I'd rather they recruit as many as those types of guys right now to give them some margin for error to be able to avoid a miss at those spots.
Looks like Korie Lucious is out at MSU. What are the chances that the Milwaukee native ends up back in his hometown with MU?

Let's hope none.
Not sure we would want him. He would have to be awfully contrite for Buzz to even consider him.
I'm not saying I want him or don't want him, but just out of curiosity what would the rules be? He's a junior now if I recall, so would that mean he would be able to play next year or would he have to sit out the 2nd half of this season, all of next season, and then have ONE year of eligibility for the 2012-13 season? Not sure if that's worth it......

This one.
For what it's worth, ESPN is only reporting him as suspended for the remainder of the season. Lucious said that he wishes his teammates the best for the rest of the season, but makes no mention of any possible transfer, nor is there any indication that he won't be back next year.
I am not arguing that MU thake Lucious, but I think MU should be holding scholarships open to take transfers at year end. Al McGuire liked transfers, because they had to put with him. I also like the fact that we have two on the bench now who can practice with the team and not be worried about playing time. We do not need 13 game players, because the bottom 3 or 4 will not get any playing time. The result is that they transfer out before they develop, which overall is bad for the program.
Korie Lucious hasnt gotten any better in his 3 years at MSU.
Not to mention...hes been getting in trouble lately.
Yea, lets sign him up!!! ::)
Korie Lucious and Monerale Clark transferred from King to Milwaukee Pius at the same time. I don't think Clark ever played at Pius due to behavior and/or grade issues.

I'm all for transfers as well. Maybe I'm biased because I was a transfer (though not a D1 athlete). You get a player with D1 experience and give him year of learning the system in which there's no pressure for playing time, and once they do get going it's unlikely they're going to be unstable and transfer again (unless you're Taylor King). Would definitely like to try for one a year, especially if they're part of that "40% of freshmen"...you get some evaluation of the player at the D1 level, and they come in just like a freshman that gets no playing time in their first year...except the sophomore has two years of college behind him, one year of playing, one year of being in the system, and has chosen to come play for you after experiencing something they didn't particularly like elsewhere. It's a bargain.

Ok name some other players out of Milwaukee that have gone anywhere in the past few 5 years and not screwed it up

I like transfers too, but one year transfers simply need to fill a hole like Jackson did. Lucious would be here one year, which would be the same year that Junior is a senior. It makes no sense. Futhermore, Lucious had everything going for thim this year with Lucas coming off an injury, and he f*cked it up. No thanks.

Don't forget about Kwamaine Mitchell, apparently back after sexual assault charges. 'Atta boy

I played against Dupree Fletcher when I was in 6th grade and he was a year younger and I will never forget his name cause he was on another planet compared to everyone on my team and his. However, he stopped growing physically, and it also appears mentally.
Would we touch this local kid with the 2:1 assist to turnover rate?
Hope not. Doesnt make much sense.
