Title: So what was Vander Blue like in high school?
Post by: warriors1965 on January 25, 2011, 10:38:16 PM
It's painfully clear Vander Blue is an utter zero offensively.  He can't shoot a jump shot to save his soul and can't finish around the basket (and cut out that weak sauce finger roll that never goes in).  I also think he's really overrated on defense, too.  He's quick enough to get in some passing lanes, but isn't really a very good on-ball defender.

But my question is how did he look in high school?  Could he shoot a jump shot?  At all?  Even a little bit?  Did he just get by on sheer athleticism?

He was a consensus top 50 guy, but his offense isn't worthy of being top 500.

Took guys off the dribble all of the time.  Streaky shooter from the outside.  He is adjusting to the speed.
