Oh no........ Please break the curse.........
guaranteed loss
Ah no way - sign of confidence, attitude. GO MARQUETTE!!
I know we always seem to lose when we pull out the baby blues, but my objection is more aesthetic. They are hideous, especially since I think our other three unis are sharp. White at home, navy on the road, sprinkle in the gold here and there.
I actually didn't mind it tonight. Couldn't wear the golds, as ND was in gold. And wearing the navy meshes a little too well with the ND color scheme. Would rather stand out against the grain in the baby blues.
Of course, I'd have the team wear any color to get a win, but that's a slightly different story.

They may be the best looking uniform in all of college basketball. Golds are the worst.
By the way, I believe we're like 9-0 in the whites. Gold at home should not be an option.
The way we're playing, I think a rainbow jersey would be appropriate.
MU was in the dark blue at L'ville and lost. I don't think it's the jersey's that curse MU.

What that's crazy, of course its the jerseys. Geesh, don't be ridiculous.
I think the baby blues look incredible in high-def.
Also I've been keeping track of the record of each jersey on the wiki if you are interested.
Just click the link above which says "Wiki entry for 2010-11"

Gold is easily the best. Baby blues absolutely suck.

Its the reverse for me.
Every time they are in the gold a non-MU person will tell me they look like extras from "Darby O'Gill and the Little People".

+1 trillion
Since it's up here again, might as well chime in again... :D
I loathe the baby blue uniforms. I think they're ugly. I also think that they give the wrong direction to the fanbase, given that we would like everyone at the games to be wearing gold, then the team starts wearing baby blue. Finally, the name "baby blue" doesn't exactly instill fear, does it? ;D

Would it feel better if it was called "Carolina Blue"? They seem to be doing alright, and it's pretty much the same color. ::)

That's actually another one of my problems with the unis, since you brought it up... UNC already has the market cornered on baby blue, we just look like posers out there with that color on.
unc's color is more of a powder blue. our baby blue jersey's are perfect.

I think we have sufficient justification based on our history, or are you calling Maurice Lucas a poser.

I always thought the official name of our color was "electric blue".

That's not the same color as our current non-navy blue uniforms. The current is duller, while the 70's road was brighter, separating it further from UNC than the current version. To me it doesn't matter either way though because I don't really like the color of either of them. Personally, I would like us to stick to gold and navy.
If you want to believe in that sort of thing, the W/L record by uniform clearly backs that opinion up as well. ;D
So what's our overall record since bringing out the "Baby Blues"? Further, is it just an "away" jersey?

UCLA would like to have a word with you on that.

Oh man ... couldn't disagree more. I think the gold uniforms are the ugliest of the bunch. I always wondered why we never tried a "baby blue out" for the games, but I protest every time we try a gold out. (I play along, but I hate it).
Keep the baby blues and maybe add another color :). It's all about marketing any way, right?

Someone should tell the Bulls that Madison already has the market cornered on red.

Different strokes...the gold unis are my favorite. Followed by the white, navy and light blue.

I totally agree that the baby blues are definitively the best jersey of the 4. If I were to rank them it would be: 1) Baby Blue 3) Dark Blue 3) Gold 4) White. Whenever I'm watching a game with a friend or we're nationally televised the one comment I always get (either in person or via text) is "Wow. Those baby blue Jerseys are sweet!"
I believe a "baby blue out" was semi-attempted in 06-07 when we played Pitt at home and ESPN College Gameday was in town. The student section, as well as the first X amount of fans received baby blue shirts commemorating the 77 championship team. I think that was closest we've ever come but definitely would welcome a more concentrated effort.
As for another uni color I believe we are 1 of only 2 teams in the D1 that has 4 uniform options (the other being Mami-FL)
