And two more to "Purnell"...yet he is still looking at more prospects. After last night, any one can see why.
They got a mid year transfer of some sort. I think this guy saw that he was getting recruited over.

Yep. They're adding Miami transfer Donnavan Kirk.
Kirk is currently enrolled in school. And, with our Quarter System, he becomes eligible at the conclusion of the Fall Quarter, which is Thanksgiving weekend.
I cannot believe that Purnell recruited over this kid... This is NOT done anywhere else!! I am furious. NO, I am squirming.
But I don't think they wanted him to go.

Facepalm. The KID wanted out, not the other way around. The kid and his coach both say he wanted out, quite different from the other situation....other than that, you're dead on right. ::)

I took a chance without researching, my bad.
Broader point that recruiting over kids as standard practice still stands.

But this isn't an example of that. It would be saying if we sign Jarion Henry that we are recruiting over Juan Anderson. The kid is the one who *thinks* he's being recruited over.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.....coach to player.
The Recruit decommitting is ---Braeden Anderson, 6-8; 215; from Batimore, Md. 3 star player.
Good size. But, who cares.

Actually he's Canadian, from Alberta.

Or the kid was looking for a reason to bail.
If I understand the rules correctly, MU cannot sign the kid even if we wanted to, because he had a signed LOI from another BEast institution. Not that I think we need another 6'8 3 star SF.
