Title: DJO
Post by: NavinRJohnson on January 18, 2011, 10:50:55 PM
Does anyone remember a couple months back when, according to many here, Buzz "ruined, messed up, destroyed DJO's confidence" by not starting him? So does Buzz now get the credit for fixing him? Kid has been playing great, and without looking it up, I'm guessing he's gotta be close to 50% 3PT% the last 10 games or so.

Would it be fair to say that over the last 10 games he has not given Djo "erratic" playing time?

This is why I have repeatedly asked the mods to start and investment board.  You would be very wealthy doing the opposite of what is consensus thinking around here.

Buzz found DJO?
Yeah--kind of like he discovered Crowder as a starter, when he should have been starting from day 1.

Did they lose a game they should have won because Jae or DJO didn't start?

Duh. We would have beaten Duke by at least 15 had DJO been given regular playing time (he got 36 minutes) and Jae been playing starter minutes (he played 30.)

Or maybe when we was taking buycks / djo out for cadougan and vander he was subbing Jae in to not completely devoid our team of any offense.

My thoughts exactly.

DJO was in a shooting slump. Happens to every good shooter (check out Kyle Korver's up and downs with the Bulls this year). That's too obvious and simple an answer for some who prefer to add conspiracy theories to the mix. It's even worse with those on here who claim to be "insiders" posting that Buzz has lost the team or that Buzz has soured on Junior Cadougan. When the team or a player hit a rough spot this kind of stuff is going to crop up on a message board.
