That was a cold handshake between Buzz and Oliver Purnell...
We beat them by nearly 40 and played are starters till there was 3 minutes left. I don't blame him for being a little pissed.
When Depaul learns to play better, they won't get beat so bad!
The Louisville game should have shown us when you have your foot on the throat, keep it there.
My wife even said: "After the Louisville game Buzz won't clear the bench for a couple extra minutes." I think they actually started subbing with a little over four minutes left.

When this team learns how to play with a lead, I will start feeling bad for the other teams we blow out. Until then -- better them than us.
No empathy for Purnell.
They should have thrown it in to Melvin more and/or started shooting threes earlier.
But, hats off to the boys in gold and blue. Great defensive effort...no quit...chemistry oozing off the court.
This may be a more special team than last year's...

We beat them by 30, emptied the bench with almost 4 minutes left as DePaul continued to press with their starters. If he pissed, it should be at his players, assistants and himself for their putrid performance.
They friggin' beat us last year and partied like it was 1999 (overrated.)
Remember how "Aqualung" and other poor souls used to meander down Wisconsin Avenue, too lost to remember, too messed up to care? There are lost souls still stumbling around Lincoln Avenue near DePaul in similar stupor as a result of that night.
Tell him to coach some defense....Junior and Blue played 20, and Fulce played 12, The herbs were summoned early.
After Louisville, my thought was don't pull your starters until they pull theirs. I'm glad that Buzz kept the starters in, and I hope he continues to do so until the other team signals that they have had enough by making changes first. Otherwise, keep beating them into submission. It was the right thing to do.

It's also not a bad thing to reassert the alpha-dog status in this "rivalry." It was fun to see them get out and run a little too.
Definitely a pupil of the Tom Crean School of Cold Tit Handshaking.
I believe the protocol is for the team thats losing to put in their scrubs and wave the preverbial white flag first. Then the team ahead should follow suit. If Depaul did not, its their own fault. Especially considering what has happened recently.
Smart wife, 77Vegas - she picked up on it, just like Buzz did.
