...But I really, really, really want to see Loserville again in the BEast tournament in New York. I know they specialize in Marquette heartbreak, but I'd kill for some revenge on this game. I fear seeing them at the BC next year, and frankly, I don't want to wait that long.
Though if anyone was fearing the rivalry was dead, at least for us, it clearly won't be now. Pretty sure this polarized all of us back to hate for Rick Porcini and Loserville.
....but we all really enjoy a good kick in the balls like this.
Agreed. Although, I want to see them because we are the better team and I think we'll win.
I thought people saying that ND was a bigger rival because of something that happened in the 70's was crazy. Are UL games are like this all the time.
Let's face it, Pitino represents everything the Marquette community does NOT stand for. That's why this loss is so irritating.
Enough said...!
Poetic Justice.
I am so glad for this opportunity. Loserville is playing well lately, winning 4 in a row before they flubbed one at WVU. But of those four, three came at the YUM! Center while the only road game was Rutgers. In fact, they are 4-6 on the road this year (no neutral site games) with their only win of significance being the double-overtime thriller with UConn. Other than that, Western Kentucky, USF, and Rutgers. They even lost to Providence on the road.
LOSERVILLE IS PURE, UNREFINED EVIL, AND MUST BE CLEANSED FROM THE EARTH!
Away from home, they have a big target on their backs. Play them like we did the first time and don't let up and we can beat them. I sure hope the boys are up for this one. We need some revenge on this team.
To take a phrase from the late great, Howard Cossell, and changing it just a bit:
"DOWN GOES LOUISVILLE, DOWN GOES LOUISVILLE"
