Since there are a lot of negative nellies out there today, I thought I'd help with 10 optimistic ways to look at today's game.
10. We're the lead headline on ESPN! The added exposure will help recruiting.
9. We very nearly knocked off our second straight ranked team and only lost by a single point on the road!
8. Fans got their money's worth--nobody likes those blowout wins against cupcakes.
7. We're just as good at coming back from a deficit--remember Bucknell?
6. All of that annoying "Buzz Williams to . . . " chatter might settle down.
5. Losing big leads at this stage of the season will pay dividends down the road and impress the committee. If we meet U of L in the BET, watch out!
4. We were picked anywhere from 8th to 12th, and UL was picked top 5. The fact that this was a one point game is evidence of our continued overachievement.
3. Hey, its not like we have a history of blowing every big lead or losing every close game. We win at least half of them.
2. This game shows real progress--last year we collapsed against NC State and Washington at about the 15 minute mark. Today we lasted until 5 minutes left. Next year, we might pull this one off.
1. We can always blame the loss on Tom Crean.
This just may be the thing that is going to push me off the ledge...

If it is any consolation....pretty sure that IU fans would be grateful for even a competitive loss at this point.

It's not.
When you piss away an 18 pt. lead with 5:44 to play, there are no bright spots.
One bright spot was the lightbulb that did not appear above Buzz's head down the stretch when he had no clue!
After all, Louisville did play in the Final Four just a couple of years ago.

This makes no sense whatsoever. No surprise, though.
I must admit that the variety of posts on MUScoop have cheered me up!
