Title: Suicide Watch..
Post by: NersEllenson on January 15, 2011, 12:32:23 PM
All scoopers..please message me many times in the next 24 hours...I'm close to going off the ledge..

WOW.  The PERFECT STORM of events combine to give all of us MU fans the worst kick in the balls EVER.  Up 18 with 5:43 left..and lose in regulation.

Everything that could of gone wrong did..and it started with us running 4 corners at the 7 minute mark.  Bad call on that one Buzz..way too early..we lost our edge in that process.  Not to mention Knowles then turning into Reggie Miller against the Knicks..launching from 23 feet, twisting in the air and connecting.  Jennings at 64% makes his last 4 or 6 free throws under 2 minutes.  Buycks choosing to go all the way to the basket instead of waiting for the foul.  Couple of sloppy turnovers by Junior against the press.  UGH.

Ners---"hang" in there. Oops, my bad. Are you OK? Don't do anything you might regret later.

OK, I'm Irish, and I know suffering and misery are my birthright, but, damn, I'm starting to expect it! When it got down to 11, I said "Don't take rhis one away" but of course they did.

Absolutely something needs to be done staff-wise to get Buzz some help on how to manage a GD game.

I can't wait for the L'ville date at the BC next season, we need payback. Or payback in the Big East toury if they meet up.

Thanks Brew...I'm happy to report (tho some here may be disappointed) that I didn't call it a life.  Coping..and slowly getting over it...actually had a positive thought about the game in the last 30 minutes - a real breakthrough:

For the most part, our defense was really, really good today - and there were some defensive possesions that were flat out GREAT.  If the team can get up off the canvas from this one...think we still can be a real force come Big East tourney time..
