Dwight played bad, but last game he was a stud. Junior had his best game of the year if not his career today at least in terms of scoring which is what everyone was complaining about. You wanna blame someone blame the 3-13 disappointment that is DJO. He has had 2-3 amazing games this year but I am really becoming annoyed with him. He needs to stop doing such idiotic things on the drive. We shot 33.9 percent boys and we still had an 18 pt lead with such little time left and then the crowd at one of the most hostile arenas in the NCAA's got rowdy and we were exposed. Jae got shut down and DJO was cold. 4-2 in the Big East is fine. Remember what we all expected entering BEAST play. Suck it up cry it out drink it out and realize the last 2 years of Marquette basketball have been a constant series of close games and excitement and disappointment at times. We Are Marquette! Beat Depaul and use this as fuel. It's not the first heartbreaker and it wont be the last. Desean's 3 ptr last year hurt me more than today's implosion.

Yeah, this was a complete TEAM EFFORT today. Everybody choked. Buzz, DJO, Jae, Butler, Cadougan, and Buycks. crap, even E-WILL missed an absolute GIFT FLUSH before the under 12min. TO. Just don't understand how you can go into a shell with that much time left.

I thought Junior played really well and looked like a viable, talented point guard most of the game. Then, he tightend up in the last 10 minutes, had some bad turnovers and missed a ft you have to have at that point. He had some great passes....some that were finished and some that should have been by his teammates. I'm not going to get down on DB...bad decision at the end but the dude has been a huge factor for us all year. He had a few costly turnovers and frankly, while watching, I felt more comfortable with Jr. running the offense...well...until Buzz decided to stop running the offense.
It wasn't Buzz. In that environment what 18-21 year old isnt gonna start getting tight. Jimmy had a great look at the end! A great look, but he didn't really seem to have anything left. We just gotta accept this is every game for Marquette heartbreak city.
This loss doesn't come on one player. And no one should be predicting NIT right now. For the majority of this game, we looked great and put amazing effort out there. Just sucks really bad.

Which is exactly why you don't go into a shell on the road with that much time on the clock. This one is almost 100% on Buzz.
I know that, but let's be honest Knowles was just unconscious out there. That one shot was absolutely absurd he just turned in the air and swish. What can you do when they get that hot?

I have no issue with how they defended, save that last possession. (Otule should NEVER be that far from the basket.)
The problem is the sphincters tightened up once Knowles hit a couple. Couple turnovers, tentative on offense, lead gone.
