10 point lead with less than 3 minutes left, tied right now at 53 with 10 seconds left, mich. state ball.
OT

I turned it over at that point. Thanks for giving the heads up. Wisconsin fans always talk about their record against Izzo, while Sparty fans talk about their record in the tournament. They couldn't care less about their record against Bo.
Side Note: Big Ten offenses are horrible to watch
45 minutes just to get it to 64-61. Notre Dame and now MSU, doesn't seem typical for Bo's team to collapse in the final minutes.
It was a choke, but a traditional choke at least.

+1 ;D
Speaking of pillars of traditionality, Mr. Leuer was invisible for much of the second half. Couldn't believe it.

That's because Gasser tried to take over and do his best "Hot Sauce" impression, which completely took Leuer out of the game.

Mostly because it's terrible (compared to their overall record during the past decade, at least), I think. There's plenty of animosity among MSU fans towards the Badgers so it's not like they're just apathetic.

Yes I agree. Its like watching NBA archive footage from the 1950's.

Defenses are keying on him. The lack of a 2 guard makes it easier to do this. He's not had a very good year this year.
And yet they beat us this year...watching them play makes it hurt even more. I wonder if the game were played today, as MU has grown and matured the last few weeks and DJO has found his shot, if the results would be different. Alas....speculation and drivel on my part until next year.
I know the Kohl hole is a tough place to play...but if UW's bench is any indication of the type of team and talent they will have next year....I like MU's chances.

If the game was played today MU would win...especially because Wisco would be fatigued from playing an OT game on the road last night ;)
UW simply isn't as talented as they have been in years past. They still play smart and are still fundamentally sound, but there is a definite drop-off in talent. Guys like Jamusz (sp?) simply haven't panned out as well as many expected and any time walk-ons (or would-be walk-ons) are starting or seeing important minutes you know it's not good. No offense to former MU guard Rob Hanley.

Well, there we go, let's schedule the rodents the day after they go all out in a thrilling 34-32 overtime game against Iowa.

Wisconsin always is a solid team from the beginning of the season. They continue to be solid throughout the season, but they never get better. Very consistent, but that is the downfalls of living and dying within the system.

Not to mention they have two very good Seniors in Leuer and Taylor who will win their share of games alone (i.e. Marquette). As we've learned in the past though if you only have two options night in and night out you need some fortune to fall your way to win big.
The Badgers will win 25 games. They will finish 4th in the Big Ten. They will receive a 7 seed. They will lose in the second round. Its a broken record. But what fun is underwhelming consistency?

Unfortunately, Taylor is a junior and we'll have to deal with him next year. Even more unfortunately, Jarmusz is a senior.
Some insist that UW is in the middle of a golden age that will continue unabated as long as Bo is there. I think they've peaked and will become a middle of the pack Big 11 team beginning next year.

Yes. Painfully unentertaining.
Quick, check Kenpom today. UW hyphen Madison is officially the SLOWEST of all 345(!) teams in Div 1 college basketball.

Oh, God, when will he ever leave? Feels like he's been there 10 years so I always thought he was in the same class as Leuer.

That is impossible. Not because they will be good, but because there will be 12 teams.

Really? I don't remember noticing Taylor before last year. In our game against them two years ago he had 1 point and three fouls in 11 minutes of play.
"Crash and burn, huh Mav?"
