I'm going to be in l'ville for this weekends game. Any must see/do activities? Any bar/restaurant suggestions? I've never been before so any input is appreciated. Thanks.
Been down there once since the YUM Center was built it's downtown on the river. Don't really know much about downtown, but directly across the river, there is a nice area with a bunch of bars/restaurants.
If you're downtown 4th Street Live is great collection of bars and usually a pretty good weekend scene.
If you're looking to road trip around a bit, I highly recommend a drive to Loretto, KY and the Makers Mark distillery for some fine Kentucky bourbon. Drive is only about an hour and well worth it.
call up tim and jerrone-they should have some great suggestions for the best all-you-can-eat joints ;D
Took the trip down 2 years ago and had a pretty good time, although the majority of the city was pretty dead for a Saturday night. 4th street was definitely the most happening area of the city.
We went to Proof on Main for dinner and it was really good, I would highly recommend it.

When we were there we found out about an Urban Bourbon Trail which is basically a 9 location bar crawl, you have a bourbon at each bar and get the "passport" stamped, after getting all the stamps you can take it the visitor center for a free flask and t-shirt. It was a great way to see some of Louisville.

I would listen to Mike Deane when it comes to bars.
Wear a white baby blue suit when you go.

"Um, waiter. Can you show me the part of the restaurant..."
You're a fool if you don't take in Porcini"s. Ask for the "coaches table." Best spot in town.

Yeah, but watch out for any tell tale Pitino DNA stain on the table.
