Very much depends on McNeal. If the committe believes he will be playing, we should safely be a 5 or 6. If he is out for the year, we will likely get dinged a spot or two and I'd say we'll be a 7. The important thing is, the committee seeds the team that will be playing in the tournament, and if that team doesn't include McNeal, a 7 is probably about right. Time for some serious propaganda on the part of Crean and Co.
The commitee will give us the old Mushroom tatoo again and force us to play some team like Michigan State in the first round, at a site that will probably be in the thick of big ten country.
after last years Seven seed against Bama I have been very Jaded with the commitees treatment of us.
Even our final 4 year, we got like t he worst possible sub-regional draw in the world with Holy Cross and Mizzou

Is there any chance that we can draw Chicago for a 1st round game? I thought the selection committee tries to keep teams close to home, but we ended up in Cali last year, so I'm not sure that is the case.
I'd say there is definitley a chance - really just depends who they need to put where. If there is a potential 3 seed in teh area that we haven't played thus far this year that they want to put in Chicago, or something like that. There are just so many variables, you just never know.
Lunardi has us in Columbus as a #6 seed. Not as close as Chicago, but still an manageable drive/short flight for students and alumni in the Milwaukee/Chicago area.
Bucky and Jayhawks have Chicago on lock down. Only way we are there is as a 7 seed and that is doubtful at best.

Well, considering that OSU can't play in Columbus, there is no way that is a safe assumption. Lexington would seem likely for them, but there are very few sure things and teams are going to be placed all over the place. UCLA in Sacramento, is probably a safe assumption. Not to mention, if UW has a good week, they may end up with a number 1 seed, along with Kansas.

David brand Jalapeno hot salsa. Those things are fantastic.
Any chance we'll be 7 seed in Chicago vs Illinois or MSU. That would be interesting.
This will happen as somehow we will not get a 6 seed and we will play some traditionally good team with Uber talent like MSU or Illinois.
Please god let us play Old Dominion, or Air force, or some other non-traditional school
Lunardi now has us as a 7 seed in Winston-Salem.
So let me get this straight we're #19 in the country, just lost to the #12 team in the country, 23 wins, a good road record versus the top 50, by all accounts we're a lock for the tournament and we're a 7 seed down south?
I wouldn't mind a 7 seed as long as it was in Chicago, but c'mon in Winston-Salem with a possible second round matchup against North Carolina? I've never been so pissed at a Lunardi Bracketology.
I agree McHenry, that is a terrible bracketology. First round against Indiana and second round against UNC. What's Joe smoking?

Sounds like a sweet season, wake me up when we lose to IU in the first game, or lose to UNC in the second game.
Why cant we ever catch a break and get into the "Mid-Major Sub-regiona"
Their is one of thse Sub-regionals eversingle year. And we never get to be a part of it.
I gurantee you a team like Virignia will end up with a 6 seed playing
11 seed ODU, and a possible SIU matchup in the next game. Mark my word. I hope it is us though
No McNeal = 7 seed.
McNeal = 6 seed.
