Aside from Pitt knocking everything down, Gray getting away with whatever he wanted, and our Defense deciding to take the night off...
CREAN WAS DRINKING DIET COKE -- NOT DIET PEPSI -- ON THE SIDELINES!
I pin this loss solely on Crean's poor coaching decision to drink Diet Coke rather than his customary Diet Pepsi. Fire the bum!
ha! i saw that too.

looks like you beat me to the punch, by about 30 seconds.
seriously though, where was the Defense?
looking like little children around aaron the giant
our only answer for him was foul
Personally I am not so sure the defense was that bad. They lived at the free throw line and made alot of shots. The thing that cost Mu tonight was rebounding. Pitt scored time after time off offensive rebounds. Our bigs are sorely inadeqaute.
We had no answer for their offensive attack tonight. The guys played hard, I'm not terribly pissed about this loss. MU played quite well offensively (some dumb plays here and there, but it happens). I feel much better going into the tournament now than I did a couple of weeks ago after the losses to DePaul, ND and Louisville.
Get healthy, Jerel.
Should be a #6.

I defy you to list 20 teams that should be ahead of us in the seedings.
We SHOULD be at least a 5. We MAY wind up with a six, but there's no way we deserve to be that far down.
I wouldn't be surprised if we are a 6. We are 5-5 in our last 10 and our top player is a question mark for the tournament. I'm more concerned with our location vs. our seeding. I think the 5/6 seeds will still draw an inferior opponent. The 7/8 seeds are another story.
it all depends because with a 5/6 seed, you're liable to get a midmajor team that won their conference tourney or a big conference team that could put up a decent fight. The only real thing you can say is that come march, only the 1 seeds are the ones that pretty much have a clear path to the sweet 16, and even that isn't a gimme. It's march and whoever we get will be there to play and hope to put up a fight. There are a lot of upsets btwn seeds 5-8.
Potential first round matchups for us as I think we are a 5-6 but Gary Parrish from CBS has us as the first 7 seed facing Michigan St. (No way we are a 7 seed but what do I know):
Stanford, Florida St., Winthrop, Purdue, Illinois, Arkansas, Drexel, Gonzaga, Missouri St., VCU, Air Force
If we are a 7 seed, then I think we'll officially have been screwed. I will also say that the BE would have hurt us. There is no way we would have finished 6th in any other conference.

MU actually finished tied for 5th place in the Big East. We were seeded 6th in the BET based on tiebreakers.
