Loved seeing DJO give the ball up on that break. Great decision.

I head that too... these announcers are terrible. Whatever, I've got the game, without cable or dish, in Milwaukee, despite TWC's best efforts... I'm happy.

Jesus, this game is sloppy. Why the heck was Otule thinking?

The announcer also made Crowders prevented lay up foul sound like the dumbest play in history. Actually saved us a point.

Not sure why JC keeps doubling the post and leaving his man open for 3

Are these announcers Famous Rutgers Alumni?

We should be up double digits right now. Missed free throws, turnovers and missed defensive rebounding are killing us right now.

I agree as it feels like we should be up by 10. Nice to see Ox in the game

Wonder why Cadougan is getting so much PT?  And very little Buycks?

Very good first half on the road.  Strong defense for the most part and scoring in a variety of ways.  Just got to cut down on the turnovers and play another strong half.

Easy. He has 5 assists at the half and has a few tipped balls.

Announcers are brutal, where is Mike Kelly or someone who didn't coach at Rutgers.

They've mispronounced Cadougan is every imaginable way.

Good point - though 2 of this assists that I can think of off the top of my head were as basic as they get: pass ahead to DJO for the uncontested dunk, a transition pass to DJO for a 3.

I hope Buycks gets a lot more PT in the 2nd, because the team will need his scoring and playmaking ability.

First half thoughts...

DJO has found his stroke. He is looking like the stud I was hoping he'd be.

Crowder needs to be on the floor. He may not be perfect defensively but his offense, rebounding, and overall energy make up for his deficiencies.

I understand why Gardner hasn't been playing of late. Unnecessary offensive foul, not good defensively, he has upside and can dominate the PVAMUs of the world, but not the Big East.

This team is too aggressive in transition. Take it when it's there, but when it's not, be smart and slow up (Cadougan and Otule, I'm looking at you).

Is Buycks in the dog house? Why is Cadougan playing so much this game?

No idea, the announcers speculated he may be sick, but then why start him? Caddy is a void as a scoring option, thankfully he's passing.

Blue is doing a great job of driving and dishing. Let's get some breathing room, this game is too close!

Wow. Touching to hear about how the announcer cried when RU lost in the FF. Couldn't they at least pretend to be unbiased?

Can they please stop telling us that we don't want to make a pass to Gardner if he's open in the post?  Clearly haven't ever seen him play before and are just guessing because he's the "backup center".

Also, we've had one travel that I've seen, but they've called about 7 "travels" on us like a bunch of annoying fanboys.  Worst announcers in a long time.

Thank you DJO for returning to your 2009-2010 form.  We missed you.  Badly.

Broeker just tweeted that DB took a knee to the thigh as a possible reason his minutes are limited tonight.

Cadougan can pass, but man, it's like playing 4 against 5 out there.

I'm telling ya, he's Mr. Power Play for the other team.  Passing was very nice tonight, but overall that's what a very good backup point guard looks like, not a starter.

Yeah, since so much has been made on this board about how Gardner allows his man to get the offensive rebounds, I watched that closely tonight. Gardner allowed that once--Otule allowed it 5 times. So much for that BS.

Good to hear he did better tonight cause against Vandy it was not so good.

Willie, I don't know what you're smoking, but trying to say that Gardner is Otule's defensive equal is simply silly. He came around a bit as the game went on, but he's still not half the defender Otule is. When he drifts out to the perimeter, he's not quick enough after the pass to get back inside to have an impact down low. The great thing about Chris is that when he guards the perimeter, as soon as his man makes a pass, he makes a beeline for the post to defend. Gardner, on the other hand, turns, thinks, then ambles in that direction, by which time the opposition has scored. I love Gardner's potential. I love his offensive game and his hands and everything he brings on that end. But he is not the defender Otule is, which is why he doesn't get the minutes Otule does. A one-eyed man could see it. I don't know why you can't.
