Title: Other Big East Games (Saturday, Jan. 1)
Post by: 77ncaachamps on January 01, 2011, 01:11:18 PM
DePaul @ Georgetown - DePaul looks really inexperienced but they're hanging in there at the Verizon. Only one true big yet they're "only" down by 7 with 16 left in the 2nd. The Baltimore Boys (Young and Melvin) will be something to watch. Great chemistry b/w those two.

G'Town looked terrible the other night and they are continuing that play today.

Agreed, but Freeland and Melvin are hustling big time. Freeland reminds me of Odartey: long, lanky, active around the board, and blowing past his defender.

Melvin has 23.

Game over. Gtown ran it up on a gassed DePaul team.

But DePaul is not looking like a pushover...

Syracuse looked strong over ND:  70-58.  Scott ended the game on crutches for ND, with the MU game upcoming.

St. John's got a scare from Providence but the Redmen are really going to be a tough out: 4 seniors and a frosh (or something like that)...that's one tough starting five.
