Title: Broadcast Quality Sucks
Post by: 4everwarriors on November 13, 2006, 09:07:56 PM
Whomever negotiated the new radio deal ought to be strung up by their curly-Qs. 1290 AM must have 5 watts of power. Keeps fading in and out. Can't tell what's worse, listening to this game or not listening to this game. ???

The broadcasting signal power is very poor.  I used to be able to get the old station (wisn?) in the northern burbs of Chicago at night.  Last night I could not get a 1290 signal for the postgame near O'Hare.  I know it's asking a lot for a station to have that much broadcast power but I don't think it's unrealistic for folks in Milwaukee & Chicago to expect to be able to catch a signal from some station for the games.

There were many of us here that said the same thing months ago, including two of us that were former Executive producers of the Marquette Radio Network.  I hope they can work it out because that would be a public relations nightmare if they don't.  Then again, with the way we are playing right now perhaps it's a good thing.   :P
