Sky is falling!
Pomeroy has MU as one of the unluckiest teams in the nation...in fact, the 330th "Luckiest"...as a reminder, he uses this (luck) in his experience adjustment. This was also the case for MU a year ago at this time. No more excuses tomorrow, just win outright. Time for the upperclassmen to step up with desperation.

Sky is falling!
Not falling, but here's the other side of the ledger
0 wins against 0 NCAA teams including a few narrow victories over teams that won't go anywhere (UWM, etc) this year.
1 road win against an awful team
0 neutral court wins
We need to start winning important games and all of them are important the rest of the year. Let's start with WVU tomorrow, which should and must be a win.
Agree - I dont want a 5th loss, but I saw progress in Nashville. This will be a hard game as I believe WVU is better than Vandy. We need to answer the question who is our finisher for a close game - I like Buycks.
4 losses and that's all that matters. Unless we go to a hockey-like system of points and reward 1 for a close loss, then we'd be 9-0-4 with 22 points!
Sky wasn't falling after we beat UW-M by 3. But coming out of the non-conference with no quality wins, it's time to start reinforcing the roof. We need to start piling up some meaningful wins now.
And by now, of course, I mean tomorrow morning.
We have to beat WVU, since they were beaten AT HOME by a team that lost to St. Mary's, St. Bonaventure, and Fordham.

Shouldn't it be Butler? He already won a few games last season on last second shots. I know they were off screwed up/broken plays (is there any other kind with Buzz), but he should be the guy, imo. Now whether he WANTS to be the guy is another question.
This thread subject reminds me of a local friend, and Rice Owl Club member, who, every year will walk me through about six-eight key football plays that would have had Rice in a bowl game, instead of in their actual cellar dwelling record.Pathetic.
Close games are only relevant after we pick up some significant scoreboard wins over top 20 teams, and only then could we argue the overall body of work (despite the unimpressive record) includes top 20 actual wins , and these close losses.
Of course if one really wants silver lining, cup half full stuff....look to the left here, and you'll see our big east record, at this moment is better than the 0-1 records of: UConn, and Georgetown,....both likely tourney teams.lol
Reminds me of Sen Dirksen's joke on the night of his election defeat---he said.." I feel like the guy who jumped off a 50 story building, and was asked by someone on the 20th floor how he was feeling.....responding..."so far, so good".
