Going to my first Cleveland State game in years tomorrow night. I head heard that they're doing well, but hadn't really paid too much attention. I looked to see who they've played and was surprised to see that they kicked the crap out of UWM in Milwaukee (82-59). Holy crap!
I thought seriously about buying season tickets this year just because (1) I love college basketball; and (2) they're hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA. I wish I'd have followed through on that. I really should start supporting our local D-I team (and not just because they're winning this year). Does anyone here have season tickets to an NCAA team other than Marquette (and I know that there is one that has UWM).
Disclaimer: this was not meant as a negative post about MU. Just a discussion of supporting local teams for those of us who live away from Milwaukee.
I have tickets to SLU for similiar reasons you mentioned. I am a Milwaukee native and Marquette grad. However, I took a job in Saint Louis and needed to get my basketball fix.
I also have Blues season tickets. Never went to a NHL game until I moved here. A co-worker took me to one game and I was hooked.
Love CSU. grew up with Norris Cole... He's pretty talented
CSU has a nice team this year.
They're the best basketball team in Cleveland!
Someone had to say it...
IU SEASON TICKETS
go to Butler games at Hinkle when I can
have Northwestern football season tkts, and attend several mbb games each year. going to the NU/MSU game Monday night. Get my fix from MU games, but enjoy NU sports and get college football fix there, so ...
Game was a lot of fun...and they are a really nice team. We had great seats, but there isn't a bad seat in that place. They moved the floor all the way down to one end and curtained off about 1/3 of the arena. It makes for a very small, intimate setting and all the seats are really close.
Probably going back tomorrow because my son won first row seats during a timeout contest.
And for those of you who love to complain about banners, you'd love it. They have banners for every year they qualified for the NIT (and everything better). I couldn't help but laugh as I was reminded of all the discussion of banners on this board.
Just got off the phone with the CSU ticket office...first time I've ever been a season ticket holder for any sport (other than MU when I was there). Only seven games left. Better late than never, I guess.
