Title: How many of us received MU stuff for Christmas?
Post by: tower912 on December 29, 2010, 06:18:14 AM
My wife found a really nice Under Armour wicking polo for me.   Just curious if spouses buying us MU stuff is common.

My brother in law, who lives in Louisville, got me a personalized, baby blue Louisville Slugger that says Go Marquette.  Pretty frackin' sweet.

MUScooper Jimbo informed me that the spirit shop no longer sells gold vests.  I went to check it out and he was correct.  They have a creamy yellow vest but no gold.

I got a bright gold long sleeve T.  We got the kids MU Ts and hoodies.

They got a bunch of Wisconsin Rose Bowl stuff from my parents though.   ::)

My mom found me a really Nice marquette cycling Jersey. Since mu doesn't have a cycling team, I'd have to assume it's rare or custom. Either way, as an avid cyclist, I was pumped

Is it this one (http://shop.marquette.edu/Men_s_Cycling_Jersey_p/17429.htm)?  (Don't click if you don't want to see the price or to continue thinking it's custom).  It is pretty sweet, though -- if you're into cycling.

That is it indeed. Custom or not, it's really nice. Gets me excited for warmer weather and showing off the Alma mater

Was the Wade Jersey one of those that ships from China?  If so let me know how it turns out quality wise.

I know this is going to sound weird, but I got a home made sock monkey with a homemade MU hat, and homemade MU vest on it... its my mom, but it is proudly on display in the house.

Sadly, my inlaws bought me two UW@Madison shirts... one is a REALLY nice sweatshirt, and the other is that fucking, "Teach Me How to Bucky" garbage.

guess who is getting MU gear next year?

Seriously? There is only one route for retaliation...

1.) Put said items into a box.
2.) Fill a ziplock bag full of old chicken and cottage cheese.
3.) Place bag in box.
4.) Ground ship the package to giver.
5.) ????
6.) Profit!

bought that for my pop for a milestone bday last year who has taken up cycling including a 12mile commute to work (!)...  socrplar125, do you cycle locally?

so no, not custom, but still totally awesome!  i skipped on the bike shorts for him, though.   Although right now you can get a men's jersey & ladies' shorts....

marqptm, that is just unfair to the USPS or FedEx! :D  but understandable.

I bought the NCAA ladies' zip up hoody for myself & a friend, it is decent, nice big MU logo on the front left & pretty sweet "Golden Eagles" written in scripty font on the hood

Not sure what that first part is about. I've seen the Wade Jerseys on eBay and was curious about their quality.

I've ordered two jerseys myself and am pleased. Several of my friends have ordered dozens.

The actual jersey material is legit. It's the numbers and patches that are replicas. The stitching can be sloppy, but not noticeable if you aren't looking. If you want a jersey that you won't care to spill a beer or mustard on this is the real deal. If you want to best looking 100% authentic jersey, not so much,

Do they take credit cards or PayPal?  Or do you have to Western Union them the $?

I've always ordered with someone else handling that end. I'm pretty sure they used Paypal. Email them and ask.

One order of jerseys got stopped at customs once, we emailed them and they shipped out another order. We had them three days later, so they are legit.

i swear i watch enough espn to notice this, so maybe they are causing me to have silent seizures...  anyone else think the dude in that commercial has a creepy moustache? b/c he does. Yeah, AP not quite doing it for me either, but i do like the towel on the helmet gag!

this begs the question, i already wear my jeans to bed on occasion... maybe just sew a MU patch on the back pocket & call it a day, lol.

I'm hoping to win an MU snuggie one of these years @ the game, personally.  Party row!
