Post by: Ron Paul on December 28, 2010, 11:59:10 PM
Is anyone else hoping to see more playing time for this kid?

Yes, and I think we will.

Gotta work through some defensive issues, but with the backcourt now down to 4, I can see him sliding over to play the 2 at times.

4? Cadougan, Blue, Buycks, DJO, Jones ....but i agree, he should see more playing time.

I'm all 4 him getting more playing time, seems he's the only guy out there with a somewhat consistent jumper. Sure he's gotta work on his defensive game, I'm sure Buzz is on him bout that. Looking 4ward 2 him stepping up his game.

Do I hope to see Jamail play more?  In a word, yes!  This seems to be my 1 silver lining in this whole Reggie smith scenario....that there is more PT available for the likes of Cadougan and Jamail Jones.  Being that those 2 (along with Vander) are our future at the guard spots, the more PT and experience they can get this season, the better off we will be down the road.

It's BE time.  My guess is that he might get a handful of minutes per game, but that's about it.  Buzz has his eight man rotation and that is what he will stick with.

If Jones can consistently hit shots from the outside, he'll see his minutes increase. Buzz has proven with Gardner that he's willing to look past a player's defensive deficiencies (to a certain extent) if he can put the ball in the hoop.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought Jones was transferring also.
