and "grind together, shine together" doesn't count.
"crickets"
They are all beavers. They are even better people than they are players and buzz would be proud to have a son grow up to be like them. I'll try and find some more fastly becoming old and tired buzzisms before he cries at his next press conference.
That's it. You hit it on the head, they're beavers, aka hairy wet cats.
Okay, they didn't look good today, no doubt. However, in an attempt to be positive I will list three things this team is good at:
- Does NOT put teams on the line (avoids stupid fouls especially)
- Driving to the rim and getting good shots up close and finishing
- Good at forcing turnovers and getting steals

And I will add that they never, never quit.
1) Substitute
2) Turn the ball over
3) Not get a shot off at the end of a game
I am just kidding as I'm just frustrated but I'm also not drinking the Kool-Aid by saying "we have no bad losses" or that "we only lost by 5 points" as that doesn't cut it come March. Last years team didn't start gelling until the Big East season but they had senior leadership, timely shooting, ball handling and quite frankly, they overachieved.
I fear that this team may not dance, but (gulp) there is plenty of time to turn this around and I can't wait for the next game.
Also, the talk about what former player or recruit could help us now, is getting tiresome as I'd rather support what players we have.

As for not putting teams on the line .. I agree, but it may not be for a good reason.
I think we're not fouling much because we're out of position enough that teams can wait for our mistake and find the wide open guy who we're not close enough TO foul when he puts up his wide open shot / layup.
We tweet well. ;-)

Only thing i disagree with is "getting good shots up close and finishing."
Today we looked terrible at that. We drove so much and hoped we would get fouled. Had a lot of terrible awkard runners or contested shots when we drove. We luckly got a lot of fouls called but then we missed the freebies. Our so called "offense" did not look good today
