At the risk of bringing out everyone who always says they put no stock in something this early in the season, Lunardi has a new bracketology out today.
MU is in the first four out... http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
Edit: Jerry Palm also came out with his his yesterday http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/story/14419586/projecting-the-2011-ncaa-tournament-field
Marquette not even in the on the fence section of the Big East (which got 10 bids by him)
yeah but we are projected as a number three seed in 2012-13, playing against Drake in Provo, Utah, looks like we have a good path to the sweet 16.
QuoteBracket projections are always based on "as if the tournament started today." I am not predicting how teams will finish the season.
With our "quality" wins at UWM and at home vs. Bucknell that sounds about right.
I think this is the year the Big East gets 10. Palm projects 10, and Lunardi projects 9 with MU in the first four out, and Cinci in the next 4 out.
Last year we were considered in the last few teams out until we beat Louisville in the last week of the year.
We should be back on the "in" line by tomorrow afternoon ;)
Keep in mind that Bracketology is +/- completely irrelevant.
St. John's is the most over rated team in the country. I watched them lose at home to St. Bonaventure the other night. Their players are not that good and Lavin makes Crean look like Coach K as an in game coach. There is no chance they make the tournament, let alone have a winning record in the Big East.

Exactly. But if a loss occurs, then the "out" line again.
Tomorrow, playing at home, will be a barometer for the season to come.

Couldn't agree more!
