I knew our recent tournament history was bad, but I guess it didn't strike me until now that we haven't won a conference tourney game since the '02 C-USA, when we beat Louisville and Houston before losing to Cincy. I think/hope that streak ends tomorrow.
Ouch...I didn't know it had been that long.
The first thing I thought of when reading that; however, was that it could be worse - its not even half as long as the ND football bowl game drought. ;)
Here's the last 5 years recap:
'02-Beat 'Ville and Houston, lost to Cincy in C-USA finals
'03-Lost to UAB in C-USA quarters (MU won the league title and we all know wound up in the Final 4) I still remember this game vividly. UAB's press was unreal, and it seemed like they shot 80% from the floor.
'04-Lost to TCU in first round of C-USA
'05-Lost to TCU in first round of C-USA (deja vu)
'06-Bye in the first round, lost to Georgetown in BE Quarterfinals.
The wiki has a decent chart of all TC's post seasons.

I like our chances tomorrow. Even though its a "home" game for St. Johns, we clearly are the better team even with McNeal out. The fact that St. Johns will be without Hamilton only increases our chances. Hopefully, we can have an easy game so we are well-rested for Pitt.
have to think without Diener getting hurt those last two years in Conf USA.. we would have went far into the conference tourny, not much you can do when your biggest player goes down, would be if Tucker would go down for Bucky right now (I think they both meant the same to their teams)
