And already leading the team with 21pts in the 4th Q.
From ESPN Fantasy news:
"Matthews will start in place of Nic Batum on Tuesday night, the Trail Blazers' Team Website reports.
Spin: He started over Batum in the second half of Sunday's game against the Nets, and it looks as if the move could be permanent. If he's still available in the waiver pool, he's now worth a pickup."
Good to see Wes crack the lineup. Definitely playing better than Batum lately. Wes finishes with a game high 26, however Portland's losing streak continues.
He definitly should have stayed in Utah. He would have been a starter all year already and playing on a team that actually wins.

His NBA career just keeps getting better and better

Ditto that. Your career can be short.
TAKE THE MONEY.
Agreed, with the front loaded contract, did we ever confirm that he is in fact the highest paid 2nd year player in the history of the nba? Not onlĂ˝ injury, but potential lockout - I'm glad he took the money.
he has to be the highest ever. how many other guys even get the chance to sign a new deal in their 2nd year? even when they do, they don't get a huge front loaded deal like that

Just ask Jimmy Mac.
Mr. Matthews went off again tonite, leading the Blazers with 23, 16 in the first half, including 5-7 from 3. Kid's got skills...
He may be there best player right now and most blazer fans who are pissed with the teams efforts right now are claiming the same thing saying hes the future and the main stay while everyone else should become apart of a complete remodeling.
Many fans are going as far as to say they want Roy as the 6th man

Although it is disappointing to see zero rebounds and zero assists in almost 38 minutes.

While Roy can shoot, his injury is preventing him from cutting effectively. He should have been coming off the bench until he's back to 100%.
