If you haven't seen the power that is Jordan Brand, look at the back page of Eastbay.

Nice! I'm pretty surprised we got the nod over Georgetown and Cal.

Our stuff looks better.
Once I see the answer I'm probably going to be embarrassed I asked, but... why is Cal a brand Jordan school?
Love the move over to Jordan brand, but good christ, I hope these or anything like them are not in our future.

Edit, and yes I am aware it was for the 25th anny of the Jordan brand...

I've wondered this as well. I've tried looking it up but found nothing.

I think those warmup jackets are sweet. The shoes are ok. The uniforms are atrocious, though.

Jason Kidd?
Kidd is a Jordan Brand guy. That must be it.
i thought they were just trying to expand west to open up a market for the Jordan network.
Haha mystery solved. And then Georgetown is b/c of Ewing, right?
Also, in regards to the above post on those atrocious NC jerseys I totally agree. Love the distinction of being a Brand Jordan school but I don't want us to come trotting out in a uniform that would be better suited for Close Encounters than a bball game.
I think a grayish/silver uni with the typical navy, gold, light blue string pattern down the sides with navy on the shoulders would look pretty sweet.

That's probably right. I always thought it might be because he beat Georgetown in the 1982 championship with the game-winning shot. Your reason is probably more probable with Cal and us being Jordan brand due to Kidd and Wade.
