I am listening to "The Big Show" as we speak (1st time in probably 3 months, just to get thru the day)...and Steve "the Sparky" Pfiefer continues to be one of the most moronics "sports talk" guys I've ever heard.
Making stupid comments, terrible analogies, etc.
He then went on to say that MU is "undisciplined" with guys who can do "around the back passes and all that".
Young and inexperienced, Yes. Immature? Maybe. Undisciplined? No.
Perhaps to the below average sports fan (which Sparky probably is) MU looked "undisciplined" last night. But through watching MU Revealed and listening to the players talk (both to eachtoher and in post-game) we are anything but....
Thoughts?

IMO, the argument certainly can be made that DJO is undisciplined on fast breaks. And Buycks is certainly an undisciplined basketball player overall. Too many MU fans seem to have an inferiority complex that rears it's head when criticism comes from talk radio.
We have played undisciplined ball. Taking a lot of bad shots too early in the shot clock for a bad shot. Buzz has said as much. That will change, I suspect, over the next couple of weeks or some players will be getting bench time such as Buycks.
Regardless, I know exactly where you're coming from when you say Sparky is an idiot. Hard to listen to this guy bitch incessantly about every team.
I wouldn't worry about it. This is what WSSP has been waiting for, now Sparky and Gary can pile on, saying Marquette is crap and UW is where it's at. Did you really expect anything else? We just need to slap Becky down when they come to the BC so they can shut their pieholes.

On the morning show after the Duke game, the guys at WSSP were very complimentary to MU. But MU played like crap last night (and Buzz coached like crap), so what should they say? And MU was even a 2 pt favorite vs Gonzaga, so there was no moral victory in losing by a narrow margin.
You can always listen to 540 AM, where the hosts shill for every local team and are afraid to criticize anyone not named Brett Favre.
I am not a fan of WSSP, but Sparky has been more pro-Marquette than I've heard in years past (obviously aside from the whole team poster nonsense).
He's stated that he likes the depth and a segment on yesterday's show was a debate on if, in fact, Marquette has "passed Wisconsin" in terms of being the state's premier basketball program. Guess which side Gary Ellerson was on. That guy's a turd...I don't know how he's employable.
Last night's game incensed me to the point that I stopped watching for about 5 minutes game time. I never do that. I think I was so upset because this team is so much better than what they showed last night. They were not playing good team defense, they were not looking for the extra pass (that we've become so accustomed to seeing), they were chucking up threes rather than dribble-drive or working down low to break the Zag zone, and how many silly fouls were committed slapping at the ball when Zags were trapped? Bobby Knight reiterated numerous times how bad those fouls were.
Last night, to me, the Warriors seemed very undisciplined.
If I had the energy, I would rehash my "shues" (as Homer calls them) with Sparky going back to the 2004 Final Four week. I am working hard to get over them, but if others keep bringing up this, this....person, it is making my task difficult.

Sparky also said that he thinks Marquette will surge pass Wisconsin in the next few years.

Anyone else feel bad for this Becky chick?
I agree that WSSP is pro-UW most, if not all of the time. The unfortunate thing for us MU fans is thats what the majority of people want to hear. I'm sick of it but its not changing anytime soon. Lets just hope Tokoto saw the halftime score of todays Badger game.
