Gardner still hurting

MU coach Buzz Williams said after the Golden Eagles' 66-63 loss to No. 22 Gonzaga on Tuesday night that Davante Gardner is dealing with a sprained left shoulder for which he's been taking numbing shots in order to be able to play.

"Those kinds of deals...a shoulder sprain is just like an ankle sprain. I saw them pull out the needle --and the needle is as long as this microphone -- and give him a shot. Yesterday they had to jab it in him five times in order to find the exact, appropriate, medical spot to put it in. It's a numbing medicine, in essence. And so he's scared to death to take it today -- they got it on the second punch today." --Rosiak quoting Buzz

Holy crap!  He was pretty useless tonight with the bad shoulder. Do we really need him Sat. against UWM? Give him some time to heal and get healthy.
