Title: Last Minute Pre-Game Event --- BEER
Post by: Dry White Toast on November 23, 2010, 01:18:02 PM
Sorry if this has already been posted.  Just saw this update on the KC Alumni Facebook.  If you are in KC and looking for something to do...

"Short notice, we know, but Marquette alumni, friends and fans in Kansas City today are invited to a private tour of Boulevard Brewing Co., our town's award-winning regional brewery, beginning at 3 p.m. at 2501 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City."

We're there but they're apparantly not aware of it?  Waiting for the mysterious "steve" who arranged it.  :D

Jealous.  Many fond memories of Boulevard Beer from my time in KC.  Wish I was there.

Dang!  We were so going to do a brewery tour, but supposedly the brewery was closed Monday/Tuesday??
we ended up trying to go to the free Art Museum which *also* was closed Monday/Tuesday.

What was the city of KCMO thinking?? All these extra tourists & nothing to do!   Ended up @ Arthur Bryant's & got some *amazing* BBQ...mmmm... pulled pork & burnt ends.  Tasty good.

Other than the power & light district/establishments immediately adjacent to the Sprint Center, did anyone else have any notable dining experiences?  Which ones of those P&L places were good? I thought that Bourbon/Maker's Mark lounge looked interesting.  And where the heck was the shopping in KC?? i was dying for a hallmark or something.
