Title: WVU goes down to a balanced Minnesota club
Post by: 77ncaachamps on November 21, 2010, 09:23:07 PM
Minnesota's going to be a tough club to match up with this year.
Tubby's gonna have them working hard...

WVU is missing what MU does: 3 pt shooters and an inside presence.

Syracuse seems to be having a similar problem with lack of 3 pt shooting

Time for these teams to start landing a traditional player or two, someone that can shoot the ball consistently from range.

While we had an outstanding year shooting 3s last year, it's not the end all be all as last year's numbers show for the top BE teams.
Syr .385
Vill .376
Pitt .343
Lou .339
WV .336
Con .315

It's still early but our PPS is highest in the conference 1.48 versus 1.31 last year. I'd predict the search for everyone's role is impacting the 3pt numbers and if we can get it to at least 35%, that will be the least of our problems.
