As we all know, this team is deeper than any team that we've had for a while. So far we've had three different studs in the first three games. How many different Studs will we have this year?
I'm voting for 8 or more.
Someone remind me how many we had last year.
Edited to add my list: Butler; Gardner; Crowder; DJO; Blue; Buycks; Fulce; Cadougan; one more from the remaining players.
Buycks and DJO haven't won it yet, and they will, which leaves us at 5 without even breaking a sweat. It's great having such a deep team this year :)

Agreed. And I think that Blue is a lock too. That gives us six.

Sounds crazy now, but I think there will be a game that Jamail Jones wins for MU this year as well.
Remember Novak's freshman year? Didn't play a ton, then had a big second half with Wade injured at SLU. Didn't look back after that.
Could see that happening with Mellow once he figures things out.
I think different players will step up every night for the first half of the season. I voted 8+ since Gardner is already up there. I could see Smith or Blue going off against one of the cupcake teams.
However, come February and the tourney, I think Jimmy, Fulce, DJO, and Buycks will need step up. It's nice to see the young guys asserting themselves early in the year, but if we need a stop/rebound at the end of the year, I expect Fulce being the guy to step up. I want Buycks or DJO making moves on the wing with the shot clock winding down in the big games. I think Jimmy's volume of shots will go up and Buzz will try to run the offense for him a little more. We'll go as far as the upperclassment take us again and they will start cleaning up the Stud of the Game at the end of the year.
The polls are still open if anyone wants to vote.
i'm guessing Junior nabs one sometime during the season...
Is having more than 8 a testament to a deep and talented team, or does it highlight the lack of a dominant, go-to guy?
Add an extra 3 for Frozena against all the cupcakes we play.

Come BE season, the cream will rise to the top. Just like last year when I believe only three players got SotG during BE play - Hayward, Butler and DJO.
