Anyone else who was watching the game on TV... did you hear when Kinsella came in Shulman called him an "outside threat to pull Gray out of the paint", I laughed, shrugged looked at my friend and said "no hes not, hes just in there to bang around with Gray", within thirty seconds, Kinsella shut me up, one of the better moments of this 2006-2007 season.
that was a GREAT call by Schulman.......a play by play guy working with Vitale often has to inject 'informative color' into the broadcast -- glad that worked out for Dan, I think he's one of the best in the business
Watching a replay of the game after being at the game. Toronto's own Shulman was terrific. Extremely well prepared. He talked about Kinsella making those shots in practice all the time. He did his homework all around. Very impressed. I usually don't see him much outside of baseball(very good at baseball too)....because I mute Vitale. But MU game was an exception.
Didn't Kinsella win or at least come close to winning the 3 pt contest at Marquette Madness? I remembered being shocked win he was in the contest, and even more so with how well he did. But I completely forgot about that until I read the transcript from Rosiak saying that he was a guy billed with a soft outside touch. Hopefully he can apply that shooting touch now when we need him the most. I was absolutely thrilled for him last night.

If I recall correctly he finished 2nd to Cubillian
yes he did, also, before the game during shoot around, he was hitting a lot of outside shots. And I really think he contributed a lot to the game, besides those two big 3's (if he would have hit the third one the roof would have flown off that place and landed somewhere around the lake!! I was really impressed with the crowd, i was kind of worried that game day would have taken a lot out of people but it didn't. It seemed like ppl went back and got the rest they needed after standing outside since midnight to get into gameday. Kinsella isn't the best post player, but he does draw out big man because he can be streaky and hit shots from the perimeter.
I am not quite on the 2nd coming of Bill Wennington bandwagon, but He is probably our best Big Man from a offensive skill POV. He could also benefit from our NBA caliber guards.
according to TC, he told those guys to watch for Kinsella doing something like that.
apparantly the espn crew laughed him off, but shulman must have remembered the commment.
Props to maxpower, who turned around and called the Kinsella three when he checked into the game. Money.
