Great stuff!
Buzz said Friday's starters were based on who had the best practices and was the toughest. Because they only had a few light drills on Saturday he didn't change the starting lineup for Sunday.
Now that they've had real practices there's a good chance we see a new starting lineup tonight based on who has worked the hardest and been the toughest.
Other stuff from the show:
- Buycks would have started if not for the ankle.
- Junior and Davante led the 24-0 run.
- Junior cares more about creating for others than himself
- MU is 18-3 in tournaments since 2004-05
- Cubillan and Acker taught Junior how to be tough last year
- Players, coaches, managers were all at Buzz's house last year watching Lazar get drafted
- Former MU assistant Jerry Sichting (now with Timberwolves) had role in drafting Lazar
- T-Wolves players give Lazar crap about wearing his MU gear all of the time but he's going to keep wearing it
- Buzz thinks both Brians (Wardle & Barone) will do a great job
- UWGB has great guards
- No show next week
- Will see MU's character reveiled against Duke
- Derrick Wilson is a great person and his body is Big East ready. His style of play fits MU's. Great student. Want's to be at MU. Wil give quality minutes at point.
- Buzz likes Wilson's football background.
- Buzz had no idea who Juan Anderson was before July when he went on the road
- Buzz talked everyday with Juan. A coach can only call twice a week but Juan called Buzz on the other days.
- They connected over the phone. Understands the MU culture.
- Buzz says he has to recruit everyday
