I like DJO to win it, pouring in 30 points in an 88-60 victory for Marquette.

Vander Blue with an Alvin Robertson like line.

Crowder with one of many double-doubles to come. Tough to pick against DJO or JFB, but in early in the season they will get the less minutes and be relied upon less. (Hopefully)

I'm surprised by the runaway support for Crowder.

Crowder seems a fairly safe pick. There is less depth at the 4/5 than there is at the 1/2/3.

Crowder will likely play more, as Buzz wants to acclimate him to DIV I Marquette basketball. Crowder played more than any player other than Buycks, who will likely be absent or limited, in the St. John's exhibition game.

Add into that the fact that Crowder is likely to grab more rebounds than Butler or DJO and you have a perfect "stud of the match" storm that would frighten even the most brave George Clooney fan.

For all of those reasons, I voted for Frozena.

Going with Jae.  Early in the season, maybe a few more missed shots than normal, and he will get a lot of rebounds and put-backs with his relentless hustle.  He's also got a pretty nice shooting ability, too.  And the pace should be quicker, so see previous sentence regarding hustle.

Gotta love Rob Frozena clocking in with 4 votes.  Buzz did say he was basically the MVP of the St. Johns scrimmage because he was first guy to dive for loose ball and defend his man.

If Frozena ever clocks more than 3 points in a game..he should get SOTG..just for being such a good soldier and walk on.

Tough call because we have three beasts in there. Jae, JFB and DJO

I think DJO is just going to be unstoppable tonight
