Despite calling it a real reach, BP lists MU over Duke as a potential early season upset.
While I'm sure Duke will not be overlooking us, there Gasaway goes ruining the surprise.

Marquette topples No. 1 Duke!
Monday, November 22
Let's end with a real reach, shall we? You might remember a recent piece I did where I said that Duke is clearly the best team in the nation. And now here I am saying they're going to lose to an unranked opponent? Make up your mind, Gasaway! Actually I still think the Blue Devils are a solid No. 1 but, hey, they lace up their shoes one at a time just like Marquette, right? This game will be played in Kansas City as part of the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic, far from Cameron Indoor. Maybe Kyrie Irving will still be rounding into form for Mike Krzyzewski. That's happened before with elite point guards--even Derrick Rose wasn't a world-beater in the November of his freshman year. And the Golden Eagles have a solid one-two combination in Darius Johnson-Odom and Jimmy Butler. I feel a surprise coming. You heard it here first.
If he jinxed this game, someone needs to post his address on here.
;)
TEAL = SARCASM :P
You did not hear it from him first.
I posted it yesterday.

When we played in Kansas City against Duke in 2006, the crowd was very Pro-Duke at the begining. There were alot of the people who cheer for them just because they are good and no have any real allegience. Half way through the second half though they begun cheering for MU once they sensed a upset was possible.
If we can keep it close and get the crowd on our side I think we can make it interesting!

With KSU in the house, with the exception of the Duke fans at the game, the entire place will be all over MU from the get go. The closer they keep it, and the more they display the toughness for which they are becoming known (and the more people start to arrive at the game), the more intense the crowd will become in MU's favor. I think this one sets up great for MU. Duke is obviously extremely good, but no reason MU can't play with them.
