Title: FULL COURT SHOWS MU ON
Post by: classof70 on November 10, 2010, 07:22:08 PM
I was scanning my various sports packages (Blackhawks tonight) and see that Full Court list MU against Prairie View.  Channel 725 at 8CDT.  I'm surprised.

They are on SNY at 9:30 Eastern Friday night, too.

Inside Marquette Basketball is shown every week on SNY, as well.  Nice to see this stuff out here in CT.

Just in case people don't look at it (*gasp*), I usually try to keep all the TV coverage current in the "Next up: Prairie View A&M" box above.

I know some people probably "minimize' the box, but there really is some useful information in there occasionally :)

Is the game blacked out? Does that even happen? That is the error message I am getting (dish network)

Can you or anyone else tell me what time that MU Basketball show is shown on SNY?  Is it same time slot weekly?

+1
Same problem on Dish Network, I don't remember any MU games on SNY or MASN blacked out in the past.
What irks me is I am in Charter Cable territory in Oconomowoc and couldn't get Time Warner if I wanted to.

Correct, Time Warner has "in market" rights on Full Court.  But, I'll bet you it's not blacked out on channel 640 on Sports Pack.

Can anyone confirm this?  I was trying to watch on SNY and MASN on the free preview channels provided by Dish Network.  If I sign up for the Multi-sports pack, and watch on the regular SNY and MASN channels, would I have any different result?  I live in Waukesha County.
Title: Blackouts for MU games this year

Pretty much guarantee this is going to be the situation this year unless the rights are relaxed

Here's the blackout area that Marquette and TimeWarner are exercising

Good, I was wondering why you would be blacked out on Sports Pack, you shouldn't be.  Glad to hear that it's working there.

Question for those satellite viewers who got the game late:

Did you get it on SNY, MASN, or ESPN Full Court?
Are you located in SE Wisconsin?

I live in Waukesha County, and was blacked out on both SNY and MASN.  I gave up and after seeing ESPN3 was blacked out, so I don't know if mine came on later.  I would like to know if SNY and MASN will work for me in the future.  By the way, I can't get Time Warner Sports, because I live in Charter Cable land, so a blackout for me is ridiculous.  I have no local tv option.

I watched on MASN via Sports Pack DIRECTV channel 640 and it started on time.  Granted, I don't live in SE Wisconsin.
