Just lost to a Div II School
University of Indianapolis 79
Tennessee 64
:o
How much did Maymon have?
he can't play yet.....has to wait for the semester to end.
Boy they really needed him today.
What happened with Pearl is not his fault obviously, but what a bad situation for J-May. Bad choice in hindsight. Hopefully he can still have a good career.
UIndy is from the same conference as Lewis (beat DePaul), Bellarmine (beat Xavier) and Quincy (beat Bradley).
It clearly throws their offense out of sync when it can't run through their best player. Look for them to really pick up their play the second semester...

Yeah he would have fit in well playing the point.

And UW-Parkside!!!
Anyway, it isn't entirely inconceivable that D1 programs lose to good D2 programs at this point in the season. They offer scholarships and the like, and frankly a lot of them are probably better than low level D3 programs like Prairie View.

Now that the Vols lost, I can hear Maymon's dad saying wait untill my son play. :D

Is Prairie View A&M Div1-AA??
In basketball, there is just Division 1. They are 1-AA (now FCS) for football.

They play in the SWAC.

PV A&M will stay in the state of Wisconsin to play the Badgers on Sunday.
Thanks Sultan.
I was thinking since they were FCS that maybe they would be Div-II?
guess having his team hookup with his daughter the night before games isn't a good idea.

No, generally if you are D1 in one sport, you are D1 in all sports. There are some exceptions for some sports ike hockey and lacrosse, but there are no exceptions for basketball.
And UW-Parkside!!!
In 1976, Parkside defeated U of Detroit (coached by Dookie V). U of D handed Marquette one of their 7 losses that championship year. Some game results don't make any sense. That's why they play he game.
see MU-Depaul last year

Was this tongue in cheek or did something happen?
A lot can happen in exhibitions and early season games. Indiana basically got beat in an exhibition by Ferris State the other night when it was clear a shot by Ferris State beat the final buzzer and without a video review, the refs said the shot was not good and Indiana won in overtime.

According to the AP, there actually was a video review:

"Ferris State nearly won it at the buzzer when Jerrell Sanders hit a 15-footer over Indiana's Jeremiah Rivers. But after a replay review, the officials ruled Sanders didn't get the shot off in time."

Thank you, Joanie
Syracuse last year lost to a D-III school in exhibition and had a fantastic season... I was kind of hoping we'd lose to st. johns
