Title: Crowder
Post by: Untucked on November 06, 2010, 05:33:14 PM
I predict Crowder will be on the Big East All-Newcomer team. Always around the ball, non stop motor, loved him

I do not see any flaws in his game--he hustles, rebounds and plays good D.

He is a stud and should be playing ahead of Fulce!

willie between your ability to assess MU's recruiting and Buzz's rotation i am going to take a stab and guess that you are James naismith himself?  or maybe Bob knight?

Somewhere shortly after Crowder's recruitment either his JUCO coach, or maybe even Buzz said something to the effect that Jae plays very efficiently..and scores quietly..to the point where it seems he has a marginal game...and you look up at the end of the game and he went for 18 points and 10 boards....just about as advertised..granted today was a DIII opponent..

I challenge you to defend playing Fulce over Crowder. Don't bother because it will not wash.

I can't believe The Johnnies couldn't exploit any of his weaknesses.  I saw this same team lose on the road to St. Thomas by five last year.  C'mon man.  We talking 'bout "practice".

They exploited more weakness in Fulce than Crowder, but Crowder played alot more so we shouldnt go too crazy

Maybe he works harder in practice.  Maybe Buzz trusts him more at this point because he has experienced D1 basketball.  Maybe he thinks Jae is better off the bench at this point.

Crowder is a very mature player.  Can tell from watching him today that he lets the game come to him very well. Didn't force anything.  Will learn to use his big body to draw fouls.  Good awareness on both ends.  Seems to fit right in with the way Buzz likes to play.
