In his Big East season preview he pegs Marquette to finish fifth, saying we had an outside shot at a wide open Big East, which I thought was generous but I will take it nonetheless.
He also picks Vander as his Preseason Rookie of the Year and #1 can't miss frosh saying "He may not put up huge numbers, but he's the perfect guard for Buzz Williams."
That's some pretty good press if I do say so myself.

Does anyone else find it interesting that Decourcy whom at one time had nothing but love to throw MU's way is now writing articles that slam MU. While Goodman continues to write complimentary stuff. ::)

I think people are taking that Decourcy article (not articleS) the wrong way. He's speaking more on the situation the Big East is facing concerning its basketball schools than anything about Marquette's performance. The fact that he singled out MU over any other basketball-only schools is somewhat of a compliment, I think. But interpret as you will.
Goodman is friends with Buzz, so I suspect he'll take an optimistic look at MU basketball as long as Buzz is at the helm.

If you read the article beyond the headline, which he obviously didn't write, it didn't slam MU.

He must still be picking the corn and peanuts from his nostrils now that a certain coach has left Milwaukee
The SN article did not slam MU, per se. It actually complimented our performance but criticized the BEast for inviting us in the first place when football drives dollars.
