Put in a shot from under the basket with 2 Does right there. Showed great strength.

That basket was typical Wes too. Defense turned their back on him on the weak side and he just kind of slipped into the open spot and made a tough layup.
Wes just may be underpaid. Lots of coincidences in this game .
Looks like Wes played good tonight, however am I the only one who wishes he was still in Utah? There Sloan loved him, played him over 30 minutes consistantly (rookie), and started. Ive watched three games where he hasnt done too much. Tonight he plays 25 minutes (figuring no injury). Whats up with that? I mean they are paying him over $5mil this year. Is he just on a team that much better than last seasons Utah? Or am I just missing something?
It's a long, long season. Game's in the bag. Save the legs.

He was fourth on the Blazers in minutes...behind Roy, Aldridge and Cunningham. He had about as many as Andre Miller. He played about as many minutes as John Salmons did for the Bucks.
It's a long season. McMillan know this and isn't going to wear people down four games in.
Portland has 5 guards but the speculation is he will be the first player off the bench

I too wish he would have stayed....was a better overall situation regarding PT, but Portland was willing to fork out the $ so I can't blame him. Portland has good talent and depth at the guard/forward position, but he will be a factor on that team throughout the season (as shown last night). Fear not, Wes will make it work in Oregon.
