Houston Rockets have said goodbye to Antonio Anderson, Mike Harris, Alexander Johnson and Jerel McNeal.

It was a longshot. At least he saw what another camp is like so that he can maybe give it one last shot in the coming years.
Considering the team was in China for most of his time "there", not sure what this really accomplished, other than retaining his rights for the NBDL.

The NBDL was why he was signed. Never the plan to have him on the NBA roster at this point.
Just curious, how many other players usually make the transition from the NBDL to the NBA? I would assume that it can't be that high.
last year, 27 different players were called up...a small number, but when you consider that there were 15 teams (and therefore 75 starters), and a number of those starters were guys who had been sent there by NBA teams that drafted them and kept them on the 15 man roster (guys like Thabeet and Joe Alexander)...it's not actually all that bad of a percentage
also...22 of the 27 guys had their 10-day contracts renewed for the rest of the season
The Rockets have always seemed to have their share of injuries(Yao, McGrady, etc).
Since the NBDL formation, they have called up at least one player during the course of every season. On one extraordinary instance-- we had 4 DL call ups at the same time.
Mike Harris(Rice) has been up a few times, and we wouldnt be surprised if signs elsewhere. Ish Smith wasnt cut and he got the last open G spot.
Kyle Lowry has been hurt during preseason, Kevin Martin has been hurt before, and Aaron Brooks is in his contract year---he may overextend, and get hurt...so I am guessing.....
its about a 30-40 % chance McNeal may get a 10 day look with the Rockets during this season.
BYW, I dont know when NBA final cut down day is...does anyone know if Novak made the Mavs--It was down to him and Cardinal (Purdue), who wasnt showing much in preseason. Hopefully Steve has an NBA home for this year!

Only thing I can find from the past week is from http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nba/news/story?id=5705266 (today):
QuoteNBA teams are required to reduce their roster to a maximum of 15 players Monday, on the eve of opening night. Sources said the Mavs are likely to keep Brian Cardinal and Steve Novak in the 14th and 15th spots after initial indications that they might keep only one of those two.
Both Cardinal and Novak possess non-guaranteed contracts, which don't become guaranteed until early January. That means both are at risk of being jettisoned at any time if a roster spot is needed.
