Friday Media Update

As a community we are so close to breaking this year's stretch goal of nearly $3,300 to support Al's Run. Thanks to some very generous donations we just might beat last year's donation amount. Please donate to Al's Run now (http://www.firstgiving.com/marquettefans). Every little bit counts.
A few days ago, Marquette released some details about Marquette Madness. It'll be on Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Al McGuire Center. Doors will open at approximately 6:45 p.m. MUTV Sports (http://twitter.com/#%21/MUTVSports) will stream the entire event.
Earlier this week MU released another episode of Marquette basketball revealed (http://www.gomarquette.com/blog/2010/10/marquette-basketball-revealed---episode-6.html). This one looks at Buzz on the road, and the role key people play behind the scenes.
Buzz did an interview with MSG's Jon Rothstein (http://twitter.com/jonrothstein), who posted the responses on his Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/#%21/JonRothstein). Or... you could just read the summary in the MUScoop thread (http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=21614.0). Buzz also did a radio interview with Milwaukee radio's Bob and Brian (click here and search for Buzz Williams (http://1029thehog.com/Podcasting/4295048))
Check out Villanova By The Numbers for their great preview of Marquette (http://vbtn.blogspot.com/2010/10/2010-11-preview-marquette-golden-eagles.html). It's fair, well researched, and in-depth. By the way, greycat is doing one for each team in the BE (http://vbtn.blogspot.com/). They're all good.
By the way, super recruit Quincy Miller indicated yesterday that MU remains on his list for now. Full details in the article he wrote in SLAM (http://www.slamonline.com/online/college-hs/high-school/2010/10/quincy-miller-diary-no-2/).
Finally, take a look at this mini-documentary about Wesley Matthews. By the way, Wesley had 20 points last night in 21 min of play (http://espn.go.com/nba/recap?id=301005022).

For some reason the flash file didn't post here with the scrape, but the video is embedded on the blog directly.
Lots of good info in there.
Miller sounds like he's definitely serious about Marquette. If he came to MU, he'd be the biggest man on campus since Wade left.
Great line from the Nova blog: "Blue is a consensus Top 50 recruit, who was slated to go to Wisconsin before Badger fans changed his mind."
I know that its preseason but Wesley has scored 20 in both games thus far. Who knows how healthy Roy is, Wes might get some serious playing time. Couldn't be happier for Wesley Matthews, he earned every bit of his contract and is getting noticed more and more.

No Miller is not coming here. He spoke to Zagoria on Wednesday indicating a final four and MU is not on that list. I think the SLAM article is just a little older.

Were things not marked as 'by the way' out of the way?
Why you gotta rain on a parade?
and the slam article was published on the seventh of october,,,which i believe was after wednesday.
The kid is all over the place; its an honor that he just mentions our name.
If we used our last 2 on Deuce and Quincy I might have a heart attack.

This was talked about in the Miller thread. While it was published this week, it was written earlier. Zagoria spoke with him over the phone on Wednesday and put it on his blog then.
check...mate.
nuts
Anybody know a good way to record the MUTV Marquette Madness stream to my computer? I won't be available to watch in real time that evening but would like a copy to run through later on.
Thanks!

I'm an idiot for constantly repeating that phrase. I fixed it on the blog. By the way, thanks for critiquing grammar.

Thanks to everyone that helped up break the stretch goal of nearly $3,300 to support Al's Run. Because of your generosity, we were able to exceed last year's total, mostly due to some very kind donations. There's still time if you haven't, so please donate to Al's Run now (http://www.firstgiving.com/marquettefans). Every little bit counts.

Full details in the article he wrote in SLAM (http://www.slamonline.com/online/college-hs/high-school/2010/10/quincy-miller-diary-no-2/). Of course, according to Zagoria, Miller cut his list down to four and Marquette isn't on it (http://www.zagsblog.com/2010/10/06/miller-bello-talk-recruting-plans/#more-40573). Seriously, Miller committing to MU is a pipe dream.
Finally, take a look at this mini-documentary about Wesley Matthews. , Wesley had 20 points two nights ago (http://espn.go.com/nba/recap?id=301005022), and 21 points last night (http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?id=301007026). Good start by Wesley.

Sorry HS, you are beyond criticism for content and I got to find something to complain about.
