Long time lurker, first time poster. It occurred to me that in our games against Pitt and Georgetown, they've rested their respective big men for significant portions of a single game, as compared to the # of minutes your average guard plays.
Now figure in that the games are played on either 3 or 4 consecutive days depending on seed, and these giants are going to be running on fumes by the finals. Meanwhile, we have a generally smaller team that can go longer without getting physically fatigued. (Mental fatigue is a topic for another time).
It's probably nonsense, but just a thought that had been rattling around in my head.
I like where your head is at. We just need to make it past the first game and we could make some noise.
Good gracious, I hope you're right...however I don't recall winning a single conference tournament game in the entire Tom Crean era. And that includes the two years when Wade was building the McGuire Center.

Which makes their run to the Championship Game of the 2002 C-USA Tournament even more impressive. They were so intimidating that Louisville and Houston forfeited.
We've only won 2 games in the conf tourney in TC's entire reign so I don't expect anything. (And that was all in one year). Lets hope we can beat a double digit seed.
You're kidding, right?
See Syracuse last year. Runs the BE Conference table (without having one of the 4 first round byes) only to fall flat on their face with a 5-12 upset...
Yes but instead of saying that TC has only won 2 conference tourny games, we would be able to say he has won 5-6 and slowly another one of his chinks in the armor goes away. Plus that would mean 4 out of our last 6 seasons would involve the NCAA tourny with a large core coming back next year and we can eliminate another chink as well.
You are right, it is nonsense. Georgetown has the horses to kick butt.
