Former Marquette University star Travis Diener will play in Italy this upcoming season.

Well, if you can't play ball in the NBA, you might as well play on Sardinia.
No surprise. This will not help recruiting.

It also won't hurt recruiting.
I hear Sardinia is nice. Italy is a wonderful country. To live there AND make money doing it isn't all bad.
The first thing my wife said was "Now we have a reason to go to Italy again!"

Of course, Sardinia is a wee bit off the beaten path in the middle of the Mediterranean ( or whatever the surrounding sea is called ). Travis will be spending lot of time on ferries.
Does this mean he will be removed from the Hoosier's media guide?

Isn't Travis married?
Just sayin...

Of course not!
It'll just read:
NBA Guard with three teams (Orlando, Indiana, and Portland) who spurned interest from Miami and Cleveland to play professionally in Europe.

The important thing is that Marquette put Diener into the NBA. How he does in the league is completely out of the university's hands. Nonetheless, interesting reaction, 4ever.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess 4ever was being a bit sarcastic...

Is this the same wife who isn't down with the Warriors logo license plate?

Bingo. "Only Warriors get to go to Italy." (thanks, Henry.)
From the attached article it looks like travis turned down a $1 Million dollar offer to play in the NBA as the No. 3 point guard for the opportunity to play as the main point guard in the top league.

Travis outkicked his coverage--especially with those chops he dons.

Yes, I hear it will happen as soon as Acie Law IV, AwvStorey, Ike Diogu, Corey Brewer, Eddie House, Ruben Garces, etc, etc are removed from our media guide.

Guess I was mistaken. Was under the impression Crean got Diener into the NBA due to his many contacts in the Association.

You're clearly missing his sarcastic point considering Law, Brewer and House are still in the NBA.

Oh, I get it just fine....I was showing just a sample of players that never played for MU but are in our media guide because our coaches helped get them to the NBA. If you want a pure comparison.... Batiste, Garces, Santiago, Smith, Storey, Thomas, etc are not in the NBA any longer but still listed in our media guide.

i was hoping the bucks could use the
t-man coming off the bench. i think he held his own in the show. just never really found the good fit. looked like the pacers might have worked until he got hurt. cost himself some showcase time and then was passed over. look how jj redneck has evolved for the magic-i believe travis could have been all that. good luck travis in sardinia, but hurry back to milwaukee dude
Diener's game is nothing like Reddick's.
5 years, 179 games, 14 mpg, 854 points, 432 assists, 243 rebounds, 4.36 ast/to.
That is a hell of an ast to turnover ratio. Really a pretty good career for someone who was never expected to see the floor by his own fans in college.
