Title: Syracuse adds Rakeem Christmas; nice looking 2011 class
Post by: Jay Bee on August 06, 2010, 11:52:10 AM
6'9" Rakeem Christmas joins AAU teammate Trevor Cooney and Michael Carter-Williams as 2011 Syracuse commits..

Not like 2010 isn't looking good as well.  They don't seem to have a problem attracting big men.

Let me guess, the dude's middle name must be...
Shapiro.

So, he's got the muslims, jews, and christians covered. How politically correct.

Maybe we should root for Syracuse to join the Big 10.

I wonder if they would suck in the B10? The pace of play would drive them crazy.

I think they would break the Uconn womens team record for consecutive conference victories

Probably have about the same level of success as in the Big East..an occasional championship here and there, but nothing too impressive.

Syracuse lays way too many eggs to put together a streak like that.

Syracuse lays way too many eggs???   Syracuse now has 40 winning seasons in a row.  This is the longest streak of winning seasons in a row in D-1.  Every other team in Div.1 B-ball has had a losing season during the last 40 years..............except Syracuse.   When did the SU egg laying happen.........in 1969?

Sultan was referring to going undefeated in conference play, not when the last time Syracuse was under .500.

Who cares about Syracuse?  Good program, good track record, enough said.  Marquette should be able to challenge them over the next 4 years.  I like the trajectory of the MU program under Buzz Williams..and am glad he's not 68 years old like Boheim.

Easy buddy.  He was simply saying that Syracuse gets upset too often to put up a conference winning streak like UConn's women.  Nobody is saying Syracuse isn't a great bball program.
