My apologies to those I offended with my Juco opinions. I assure you it has nothing to do with the individual kids, they all seem to be fine young men. It comes from my concern on how the university and basketball program will be perceived.
My apologies. It won't happen again.
My God give it a rest. Stop the games.
I feel sorry for your old lady with all the bitching and moaning you do.
Hey, life can be a bitch and get the better of all of us at times. Give Chicos credit. How many of us can swallow the big one and actually admit even a minor f-up? Yet, everyone's comments on this board are just opinions and as such don't really carry any suck. No need to get bent out of shape over this sh!t. Save it for something that matters. I'm down with all discussions, never have been offended. Always have kept in mind that in the end, we're all brothers and sisters in the family of Marquette Warriors' basketball and if we didn't have the passion in our souls, we certainly wouldn't waste the time cockin' around on the keyboard. I know that I certainly could put the time spent here to better use. But, it's enjoyment and in a world filled with worry and pressures, we all need to identify and use our release valve, whatever that may be.

I think you've got it right. I too have disagreed with plenty here, and have not been shy about saying so, but can't say I have ever been offended by others doing the same. I'd much rather see myself and others getting a bit out of hand here, than somewhere that matters like home, work, etc. As has often come up in another discussion, it is the spirited conversations that make this place fun, and interesting (as opposed to others boards that will remain nameless).

Of copurse, some of those "spirited" conversations have been rather lame/inane/endless... Sometimes silence is golden.
Boy, you guys are gullible.

JUCO's who commit to other programs--particularly Louisville and West Virginia--are still open game, right?
Each player should be judge soley on his own actions. Prejudice is attributing bad qualities to a group of people based on preconceived notions.

Will take this into consideration
I don't believe him. It will only take a bit for him to get back up on the soapbox and spew his venom. There is nothing more hollow than the echo of empty words.

Sorry to disappoint MedicineHat, but as promised, I haven't stated any additional JUCO opinions since and won't in the future either.
That doesn't mean I won't say some things you don't agree with about other topics, but you won't see them on this topic.
Only a Warrior...damn, it's been forever. Glad to see you are still kicking.

I'm glad you're no longer a douche
When I saw the subject line and the author I thought this was going to be an apology for the 12 page thread on Newbill. Never content with concisely and coherently (sometimes) stating his position Chico's feels the need to state, restate and restate once again as if his constant droning will actually change other people's minds. I respect the passion but the level of self-importance is just a tad annoying.
Yeah, people shouldn't state their opinion and then back it up.
This is the Internet, people! This is not a game!

I can link you to the limits if you'd like. This board comes nowhere near the limits. I guess you could start at boards.4chan.org/b/. It's as far as I can easily get you. I wouldn't browse around there at work unless they're okay with racism, porn, pedophillia and rampant douchebaggery.
Even the internet arguing on this board is pretty tame. There is a distinct lack of personal attacks (for the most part) and flaming/trolling. While some of the arguments may be inane, there seems to be some weird amount of respect between posters. Probably having to do with most of us having a real-life connection.

Wow dude, little warning on the link next time. Thought it was just a simple message board.
Wow, I should have read your full post first. My bad 100%. Sorry dude.

Na, it was my fault. I edited the link so it's unclickable.
If I may ask ... what exactly is Chico's apologizing for? Having an opinion about a college basketball team?
I don't think he needs to apologize for having an opinion, even if it's one the majority of us find poorly formed.
And if he does feel the need to apologize, why apologize to us? We're not the ones he insulted (at least not in this instance).
+1
We should question the % of jucos in our program.
