I like this kid.  Think he's going to be a great, great player for MU.  Anyone think he sounds a small bit like Mike Tyson?  Sounds like he's being groomed and planning to play point guard.  Great competition for both he and Junior - they should make each other better.

I'm surprised Reggie Smith isn't getting more pub. I'm telling you this kid has speed/quickness that is going to be game changing. He's a one man fast break. He reminds me exactly of Ty Lawson. And Ty Lawson really changed games for UNC with his speed and fast break pressure he put on the opposition. Reggie Smith has this kind of ability. What I also love about him is he will be able to lock down guards that are good penetrators as well. So excited to watch this kid's career unfold. Hopefully, he stays healthy and Buzz brings out the best in him.

I think he's going to have the biggest freshman year.    May turn out to be the best one of the incoming class if he can refine his jumper.

No criticism intended, but it's funny how every time a video appears of a new recruit, or current for that matter .. someone always says "I like this guy" or "will be a good representative" ..

Never "What a punk!" or "Man, this kid is bad news."

MU.  No punks allowed.

I've been on the bandwagon of Reggie Smith will be the biggest surprise player of 2010 season for some time now.  Agree with your statement above.  And the Ty Lawson comparison.  Obviously a ways to go for Reggie, but to hear him say in the interview..he's never lifted weights or done any strength training..WOW..his upside is huge!

And I'm not sure what is so funny about:???

Tommy DeVito: What do you mean I'm funny?
Henry Hill: It's funny, you know. It's a good story, it's funny, you're a funny guy.[laughs]
Tommy DeVito: What do you mean, you mean the way I talk? What?
Henry Hill: It's just, you know. You're just funny, it's... funny, the way you tell the story and everything.
Tommy DeVito: [it becomes quiet] Funny how? What's funny about it?
Anthony Stabile: Tommy no, You got it all wrong.
Tommy DeVito: Oh, oh, Anthony. He's a big boy, he knows what he said. What did ya say? Funny how?
Henry Hill: Just... ya know... you're funny.
Tommy DeVito: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to fuckin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?
Henry Hill: Just... you know, how you tell the story, what?
Tommy DeVito: No, no, I don't know, you said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How the f am I funny, what the f is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what's funny!
Henry Hill: [long pause] Get the f out of here, Tommy!

This Pro-am is a great idea - good for chemistry and lets them see the legacy of players coming back.

Interviewer: "Has coach talked to you about what position you'll be playing?

Reggie: "No, he really hasn't talked about that."

Alright, so how does this imply that he is being groomed to play point guard?  He said that that was his preference, but he hasn't heard that from the coaching staff, at least as of yet.

To be honest, the coaches may not really know either.  They don't know how Junior will bounce back.  They don't know how effective Buycks can be at the point.

At least in the short-run, they may just bring him in to be a spark plug off the bench and see how he responds.

All amazing roles, but one role I always feels gets overlooked was when he played Gil Renard in "The Fan".
